Transition Pima:Vision: The vision of Transition Pima is a resilient, sustainable and thriving bioregion that is not dependent on fossil fuels or other outside resources to secure basic necessities. Mission: Raise community awareness of the coming realities of Peak Oil, Climate Change and Economic Collapse and provide a philosophy and framework for moving toward a resilient future. Tap into the collective wisdom and skills of the people of Pima County and the Sonoran Bioregion and apply the conditions and principles of self-organizing natural systems. Uncover the strengths and assets that already exist throughout the region, identify roadblocks to change, assess priorities for action and advocate for policy changes that meet the definition of sustainability. If you would like to find out more about the ways natural systems principles can better inform your path to sustainability at the personal, organizational, or community level, please contact nature@attractionretreat.org or give Dave or Allison a call at (520) 887-2502. |
